Overview of the Seasonal Holiday Decorating Assistant

Do you love to create unique and interesting displays and decor? Do you love to work with your hands? Then we want to hear from you! We're looking for the right person to join our seasonal Holiday team to help create one of a kind holiday displays for our clients' needs.

In this role you'll be responsible for helping to execute a wide variety of holiday displays according to our clients' specifications. You'll work with a team in our warehouse to help prep and execute the decorating of a wide variety of trees, wreaths, and beyond to deliver an exciting holiday arrangement to our clients. In short, you'll be responsible for bringing cheer and holiday spirit into our clients' businesses.

Responsibilities of a Holiday Decorating Assistant

• Decorate a variety of materials such as trees, wreaths, and garland per customer and leadership specifications.
• Assemble artificial trees, wreaths, lighting, and erect display; producing themed props and or signage for client sites.
• Keep track of prop inventory, count for breakage or loss, and report discrepancies to display manager or appropriate personnel.
• Organize and properly store all holiday materials upon season completion.
• Use hand or power tools, such as saws, hammers, screwdrivers, staple guns, ladders, scissors, nails, spray paint, spray glue, and knives to construct and install displays.
• Maintain workspace to keep site and equipment in a continuous safe, clean, and professional state.
• Ensures every completed job-site is left in beautiful condition, clean and free of any debris.
• Read, interpret, and work from sketches, drawings, plans, and work orders.
• Some assistance with onsite installation at client locations may be needed.
• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities of a Holiday Decorating Assistant

• Consistent, reliable, and on time for all shifts
• Creative and a self-starter that can work independently and with a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to be constantly moving, and/or standing in one place for extended periods of time
• Able to bend, lift, and reach with arms above eye level
• Able to stoop, kneel, crouch and climb ladders
• Ability to use hand tools such as hammers, staplers, screwdrivers, etc.
• Previous visual presentation experience preferred
• Basic understanding or experience with art, design, decorating preferred

Additional Information

• Schedule may vary from part-time to full-time, but will generally be Monday - Friday 8:00AM-4:00 PM, with some weekend work needed based on workload.
• General timeframe for this role will be November through mid-January depending on workload
• Must be able to work Thanksgiving week (except Thanksgiving day)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour
