Assist customers, cut and trim meat to size for display or as ordered by customers, provide mealtime solutions through product knowledge and culinary training. Role model and demonstrate the Company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of self and others.

Essential job functions and minimum qualifications:

  • Model customer 1st behavior; deliver and encourage other associates to deliver excellent customer service
  • Promote and follow Company initiatives
  • Comply with Corporate policies and all safety guidelines and standards
  • Meat/Service Fish Counter Clerk: perform duties listed on daily tour sheet, open the section, sell meat and fish, maintain cases/cooler and work area between customers-including stocking-restocking-loading ice-finishing-closing-cleaning, answer telephones, make-stuff-and wrap meat product, cook meat samples, prepare self-serve: pre-wrap fish, stock frozen load, tray fish for next day
  • Customer Service: provide information on products to aid customers purchasing meat and seafood, communicate mealtime solutions to customers, understand merchandising of the department floor, monitor daily/weekly sales-goals-and opportunities, maintain the condition of the sales floor
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
  • High school diploma or GED or up to one month related experience or training; or combination of relevant education and experience
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to pass drug test
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work weekends on a regular basis, work any shift and work overtime as needed
  • Ability to organize/prioritize tasks/projects
  • Accuracy/attention to detail
  • Familiarity with food service terms and processes
  • Familiarity with general product knowledge and culinary practices

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.85 - $17.30 per hour
