Our client, a global leader in the Pharma and OTC space has an immediate need for a Scientist 1 to join their team. If you have a background in Chemistry or related field and are looking to grow your career in the Cosmetics product development space, we would love to speak with you!
We are looking for someone who can help support and develop innovation in a fast-paced work environment. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn about dietary supplements, clinical research, competitive products, regulations, production, documentation.
Position Duties & Responsibilities:
Support the Research & Development Team in product development and formulation.
The Scientist will support formulation and manufacturability for a broad range of consumer products such as Skin Care, and Beauty Care, focused on Color Cosmetics
The Scientist will be responsible for the following:
- Work directly with the Senior Scientist group
- Lab batching for various consumer products
- cGMP lab notebook documentation
- Measuring Brookfield viscosity, pH and aesthetic monitoring of stability samples
- Writing specifications and working within the internal J&J databases to document and view product information
- Working closely with support functions such as Analytical, Micro, QA and Pilot Plant
- Preparing case studies as needed
Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing Project Timelines and holding manufacturers accountable to accomplish product development and pilot activities on time.
At minimum the candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or other related science with 0-3 years’ experience.
The candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office. Formulation or cosmetic experience is preferred. The individual must be eager to learn and must pay attention to detail
