Scientist 2/3, Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics Job at Genentech
The Position
The Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) department at Genentech is seeking a highly motivated Scientist 2 or Scientist 3 to support pharmacokinetic and drug disposition studies to enable discovery and development of small molecule drugs. The candidate in this position is expected to be involved in some or all of the following activities:
Coordinate and analyze PK/ADME studies supporting discovery and/or development projects; assist in writing documents for regulatory filing
Designing, scheduling and coordination of in vivo pharmacokinetic studies as well as pharmacokinetic data analysis and interpretation
Interact with external contract organizations (CROs) in setting up and managing in vivo studies
Participate and contribute to discovery and development project teams, and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues
Required Qualifications:
A BA, BS or MS degree in biology, chemistry or other relevant fields with at least 2 years of relevant experience
Understanding of PK / ADME concepts and familiarity with routine in vitro DMPK assays
Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Highly motivated to learn and participate in cross-functional project teams and scientific research
Proficient in data analysis in Excel or other similar productivity software
Preferred Qualifications:
Pharmaceutical industry experience in supporting drug discovery and/or development project teams
Familiarity with modeling / programming platform e.g., MATLAB, Pheonix, R, Python
Relocation benefits are available for this position.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $74,480 and $138,320. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
