As a virtual school counselor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the academic success, personal development, and emotional well-being of our students.
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Virtual School Counselor to join our team. As a Virtual School Counselor, you will be responsible for providing counseling and guidance services to our online students, addressing their academic, social, and emotional needs. You will work closely with students, parents, teachers, and other staff members to promote student success, engagement, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct virtual counseling sessions with students individually or in groups to address their personal, academic, and career-related concerns.
• Provide guidance to students in developing and achieving academic goals, course selection, and career planning.
• Assess and address students' social and emotional needs, including stress management, conflict resolution, and coping skills.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
• Monitor student progress, identify potential challenges, and implement appropriate interventions.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify learning or behavioral issues and recommend appropriate interventions or referrals.
• Stay updated on current counseling practices, educational resources, and mental health trends to provide relevant and effective support to students.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and documentation of counseling activities.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field.
• Valid state licensure or certification as a school counselor (if applicable).
• Proven experience as a school counselor, preferably in a virtual or online education setting.
• Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and counseling techniques.
• Familiarity with virtual counseling platforms, technology tools, and online learning management systems.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote work environment.
• Compassionate, patient, and supportive attitude towards students.
