Supply Scheduler will be responsible for planning, optimizing and monitoring inventory levels for materials used by Phillips 66 Lubricants plants. The goal is to ensure that plants have the materials they need to produce the products to fill customer orders on time while minimizing costs.
Primary Responsibilities
Accountable for the purchase and transportation of lube oil additives, base oils, raw materials, consigned products and finished product from internal and external suppliers.
Working across functions, including Procurement, to optimize inventories, identify market opportunities and balance profit with operational risk
Optimizing and overseeing discretionary inventory used in operations
Performing contingency planning for supply disruptions
Fostering strong working relationships with external counterparts that distinguish Phillips 66 as an industry leader in integrity, scheduling excellence, and professionalism
Providing vacation relief scheduling coverage as needed
React to MRP messages including exceptions, red lights, overdue supply/demand for responsible MRP controllers; review and re-optimize products within responsible MRP controllers
Monitor Supply Chain Health Metrics for responsible MRP controllers and investigate trends
Confirm material availability and shipment dates for new (purchase, STO) orders; initiate requests to dispose of product
Monitor the execution of shipment plan and provide feedback to plant transportation schedulers as exceptions occur
Research and resolve material problems to include late/short shipments, facilitating emergency inbound orders, calculate/tracking material receipt variances and discrepancies
Ensure that month-end close out and inventory reconciliation for specified commodity is completed in an accurate and timely manner and assist in investigation of issues
Manage transportation schedule for inbound movements (including emergency and expedited freight); work with Transportation – Rail, Truck, Barge to manage optimal movement of product
Interact with customer service, demand management, procurement, plant scheduling, transportation coordinators, lubricants leadership, supply chain teams and other parties to successfully execute assigned duties
Continuous improvement activities for identifying deficiencies and implementing process improvements
Cross-train and perform assigned backup functions for other Supply Chain/Operations personnel
Required Qualifications
Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
Bachelor’s degree and 2+ year relevant working experience
Demonstrated aptitude with enterprise solutions such as SAP, Intellitrans and Navisphere
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications
3 or more years purchasing experience
Knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning tools; experience with SAP Materials Management, Delivery Order and Shipment management responsibilities is highly desirable
Proficient administrative, prioritizing, multi-tasking, and organizational skills.
Ability to work as a team across groups both internal and external to the organization
Demonstrated ability to make decisions with an eye towards results orientation
Strong communication (verbal and written) and analytical skills
Display strong Safety, Environmental, and Quality management skills
