Job Description:
- NextEra Energy IT is seeking for a Senior SAP Accounts Payable (AP) Functional Consultant. The ideal candidate will have a background in:
- Experience in upgrading SAP ECC to S4 on HANA ERP
- Provide SAP ECC FI/CO functional expertise on S4 HANA ERP projects to ensure timely and effective project execution.
- Complete functional unit (FUT) testing, regression testing, support data preparation and readiness for SIT and UAT enablement
- Manage priorities for defect management within the AP functional area, supporting and leading more junior consultants
- Be proactive in bring risks, issues, and escalations to leadership for prompt issue resolution
- Work closely with development teams both onshore and offshore providing detailed specification documents with clear project deliverables and timelines.
- Plan and manage assigned work activities, complete projects on time and on budget following Agile development methodology
- Maintain thorough knowledge of new development and/or technology pertaining to project(s) in the SAP ECC FI/CO space
- Interact with a team of business representatives or liaisons to gather requirements, prioritize work, develop enhancements, coordinate testing, and perform change management.
- Assist with planning, design, configuration, testing, and production release on financial projects which typically involve and impact multiple business areas.
Education & Experience Preferred
- Bachelor's – Sciences or Accounting. A CPA and / or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 6 years of SAP FICO functional experience in FICO core modules including FI-GL/AP/Logistics Invoice Verification
- Must have at least 2-3 full life cycle SAP ERP implementations.
- At least 3-5 years’ extensive configuration experience in supporting existing SAP Systems (ECC 6.0).
- 3-5 years of experience configuring SAP FICO modules: FI-GL, AP, Logistics Invoice Verification
- Strong Experience in integration with other SAP modules including Materials Management and Sales and Distribution.
- Experience in SAP integration with external Tax Software Sabrix.
- Experience with ReadSoft/Kofax is strongly desired.
- Experience implementing ECC to S4 projects is strongly preferred.
- ECC, EDI, BI, Portal Experience in SAP
- Experience with the Agile development methodology and tools such as Atlassian Jira software is preferred.
