The Sanitation Supervisor is a critical part of the leadership team at our production facility. The Sanitation Supervisor will plan, manage and direct plant sanitation procedures, programs and regulatory requirements, ensuring all plant equipment is clean and safe for production. They will also recommend improvements in manufacturing methods and sanitation practices to ensure continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities/Outcomes:

● Under the FSQA Manager direction, the Sanitation Supervisor is responsible to maintain a safe working environment while overseeing the cleaning, sanitizing and set- up of the production lines.

● Understand and comply with safe work practices and procedures.

● Perform Plant Pre-Operational Inspection.

● Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of sanitation paperwork.

● Review existing sanitation programs, plans & initiatives to recommend, develop, and implement new or/and improved programs, plans and initiatives.

● Develops and updates detailed clean up procedures and SSOPs for all plant equipment and areas. Develops operating policies and procedures as necessary

● Ensures the tailoring and documenting of plant procedures related to approved cleaning chemicals and cleaning schedules.

● Responsible for employee’s scheduling, performance appraisal and disciplinary actions of the sanitation associates.

● Mentors and motivates associates, providing training and development to optimize their performance and personal growth.

● Participates in regular meetings as part of the plant leadership team to discuss quality and sanitation improvements. Facilitates problem resolution related to sanitation and quality issues.

● Liaison with chemical supplier.

● Interact daily with Quality Assurance and Production on sanitation activities and performance.

● Inspects production, warehouse, offices and surrounding areas to ensure compliance with internal sanitation and safety procedures and programs and to comply with state and federal laws.

● Oversees all sanitation training programs, plans and initiatives to ensure they are understood and completed by sanitation personnel and production operators in a safe and efficient manner.

● Assure compliance to all federally & state mandated and local regulations by the production facility to assure food safety for consumers.

● Assists in internal monthly plant inspection processes as well as in internal food safety & quality audits.

● Troubleshooting sanitation and chemical usage issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
