Main job responsibilities:

Manual solid sample weighing and solubilization of solid samples using an automated liquid handler. The position requires a self-motivated individual, able to work independently and as part of a team.

Tasks will include but is not limited to:

Performing day to day laboratory work and direct communication with local and remote colleagues in a cross-functional work environment. The compounds may be potentially hazardous. The individual will be trained in proper lab safety and appropriate SOPs. Safety glasses, lab coat, and gloves will be required while working in the laboratory. Site specific training including automation, LIMS system and any other tasks will be provided in support of daily activities.

Use of analytical balances, fume hoods and weighing enclosures, liquid handling instruments, and basic chemical handling procedures to process orders according to set forth timelines and SOPs.

Data processing, inventory tracking, accurate record keeping, following shipping procedures using a LIMS system.

Ability to multi-task, work independently, identify, and solve problems with minimal supervision.

BS in a scientific discipline and 1-2 years of laboratory experience preferred

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Knowledge of Microsoft office suite

Preferred Qualifications: Pipetting skills and sample prep experience.

Position is full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living in a commutable distance to West Point, PA are encouraged to apply.
