POSITION SUMMARY
The sales specialist will assist with activities to achieve the company revenue goal for the HVAC and AP booster line.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
- Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products, explain product features, and solicit orders.
- Recommend products to customers, based on customers' needs and interests.
- Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses.
- Estimate or quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
- Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
- Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
- Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
- Responsible for identifying and closing business opportunities for assigned territory, and fully executing against revenue and margin targets for the product line.
- Represent Patterson Pump Company in a positive and professional manner.
- Work with the National Sales Manager and Product Sales Representatives to satisfy customer and achieve company goals.
- Identify areas of improvement in the company and assist in creating and implementing solutions.
- Complete and maintain accurate sales forecasts, data gathering and reports. Participate in sales and productivity meetings.
- Prepare cost estimates by studying plans, specifications, and related customer documents, consulting with engineers, architects, and other professional and technical personnel.
- Ensure delivery of excellent customer service through timely and accurate processing of orders, communication, and coordination with other departments to resolve inquiries.
- Process orders and quotations with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Participate in and conduct seminars and tradeshows.
- Actively pursue and close new business opportunities, working closely with sales representatives to ensure geography-based objectives are met.
- Utilize consultative, solution based selling techniques to identify customer problems and develop compelling proposals. Collaborate with distributors to expand the reach of our products and services.
- This position requires exceptional organizational skills and time management techniques, negotiation skills, attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, the ability to travel (visiting representatives, establishing representatives, conducting training, etc.), and a natural ability to engage in and develop business relationships.
- Comply with established safety policies and procedures. Wear required Personal Protective Equipment as directed. Use appropriate tools designed for their specific job tasks. Provide feedback related to hazard assessments and/or accident investigations.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: Associate degree (two-year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Business Administration or equivalent
Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) Preferred, Field of Study: Business Administration or related degree
Experience: 1 plus years of experience in pump manufacturing or sales
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Syteline, Share Point. High proficient in data entry and the configurator.
