Formosa Plastics is a privately held company headquartered in Livingston, New Jersey. Our core business, producing plastic resins and petrochemicals, takes place at three wholly-owned chemical manufacturing subsidiaries located in Delaware City, Delaware, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Point Comfort, Texas.
The purpose of this position is to maximize Formosa Global Solutions resin /chemical sales for all assigned existing and new accounts. Consistent with Formosa Corporate Strategy and FGS business focus and goals, generate new business and maximize business with existing customers.
Major Areas of Accountability:
Strategic Sales Implementation: Coordinate and facilitate strategies for growth, business, and product development. Coordinate and facilitate market strategies and pricing to impact customer product and profitability mix. Coordinate and facilitate on prices and credit terms. Coordinate and facilitate sales orders and transportations.
Sales Prospects: Coordinate and facilitate with marketing/business development to create, recommend, and implement new sales strategic plans and tactics. Develop and initiate the sales process.
Customer Contacts and Relationships: Develop and sustain consistently high-quality customer contacts and relationships. Facilitate, collaborate and coordinate with aligned internal company contacts to implement and reinforce external customer expectations, commitments, and Formosa Branding.
Marketing and Technical Support: Coordinate and facilitate with Marketing on pricing, competitive sales and marketing planning, and actions. Coordinate, facilitate, and mediate to provide ongoing technical support to customers, for product quality complaints.
Sales Follow Up and Customer Service: Consistently, and in a timely manner, coordinate, facilitate, and mediate on pricing, payment discrepancies on resolution of customer complaints, and customer service issues as well as on consignment sales and samples.
Business Development/Sales Cycle Management: Research and understand the trends in the assigned industries. Promote the company’s products and brand. Present monthly updates on sales strategy, pricing and market trends. Work with CSR team to provide a smooth transaction for the customer.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications Required:
- 4-year college degree.
- 1-3 years of direct sales experience in the plastics industry. 2 or above those years in Plastics sales is preferred. Demonstrated sales achievement results and performance trends within the sales function.
- Ability to handle small, medium, and large accounts with complex product portfolios with interface at the executive levels. Experience in chemicals/plastics industry is desirable.
- Excellent English verbal, comprehension and writing skills.
- Experience with Microsoft office suite.
- Frequent Travel; Must perform all duties to the same standards while travelling as would be expected in the office.
