This position fills a vital role by finding and executing marketing efforts for our hotel. You will secure new accounts, maintain our very active existing accounts, and manage all sales activities. You will develop and maintain relationships with key clients and local businesses to produce group business that includes hotel rooms, food & beverage sales, and banquet sales.

General Manager

Physical:
Must be able to read and write clearly and effectively. Must be able to drive a vehicle and travel by airplane. Must have a valid driver's license and insurance for driving.

Scope:
  • Oversee all properties' sales and marketing efforts.
  • Oversee advertising efforts for each property.
  • Maintain up-to-date internet information for the two local hotels.
  • Assist with the development of all hotel's services and offerings.
  • Remain up-to-date on brand/industry information.

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Attend industry tradeshows, both to gain information, as well as representing CHMI properties.
  • Assist in increasing revenues at the hotel through sales and marketing efforts.
  • Maintain a website, a social media page, and information for all properties.
  • Assist in the development of promotions to increase traffic/interest at properties.
  • Public relations, as necessary; writing press releases, attending ribbon cuttings, groundbreakings, etc.
  • Maintain relationships with key local contacts (Chamber representatives, CVB, etc.) to keep the community up-to-date and aware of the properties while attending sponsored events.
  • Visit local business and maintain relationships to ensure repeat business.
  • Travel to other properties, as necessary. Attend state and national conferences, as necessary.
