We are looking to bring in a top-tier Trucking Insurance Leader motivated by the scale and speed of their impact.*
What we are looking for:
- You want to be in the driver’s seat, building critical ops infrastructure at a rapidly scaling startup
- You thrive in an ambiguous environment, defining process and procedures via creative problem solving
- You have an infectious growth mindset and find satisfaction building and coaching a team
- You have vast carrier knowledge along with their processes, procedures, appetites
- You have strong relationships across the industry with direct carriers and MGA’s
- You have a proven successful track record as a trucking insurance producer
- You’ve written business
- You have the ability to expertly pair insureds with a wide array of carriers, not just a one-stop and shop mentality
- You have a strong knowledge of the quote to bind process
- You are knowledgeable on the steps a trucking company follows from inception to quoting, including, but not limited to steps taken by the FMCSA and DOT, the MCS-150, the BOC-3, and filings
- You stay up to date on current industry and market trends
- You are an expert on the renewal process
- You are proficient in analyzing CAB Reports, determining quality business and areas of improvement for trucking companies
- You have the ability to lead a team of producers, praise celebration, and diagnose areas of improvement
- You have experience planning and executing complex projects across multiple departments and stakeholders
- You are an effective oral and written communicator, able to simplify complexity with ease
- You require data driven decision making from yourself and those you work with
- You have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the tenacity to develop ideas independently
- You have demonstrated leadership skills and experience of being a team player in a highly driven sales environment
- You have an active resident insurance producer license
This will not be a good fit if:
- You are looking for business-as-usual, a highly rigid environment or have zero startup experience
- You are ineffective at leading others
- You don’t have a favorite excel shortcut
- You don’t have the flexibility to manage a business that can operate 24/7 globally
- You have historically worked with only 1-3 carriers
A typical week might look like this:
- Strategize and plan with Founders on a special project initiative
- Lead weekly team meeting reviewing your teams’ goals versus their execution
- Present day to day sales figures and provide a roadmap for success
- Have a 1 on 1 training session with a producer covering how to grow their book, finalize a sale, provide performance updates
- Opine on new SOPs improve efficiency and overall performance
- Assist the Trucking Insurance team in day-to-day functionality
