PrimeTest Automation, a 20+ year-old multi-million dollar custom automated machine builder based out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Charlotte, North Carolina is growing and looking for a Business Development/Sales Representative to join our team (http://primetest.com/). The ideal candidate is highly motivated and excited to work with Automation Technology. This opportunity will allow the right candidate to work on varied projects touching industries such as aerospace, medical, packaging, military, automotive, advanced research, and much more. Candidate must be detail oriented and able to adjust quickly to work on multiple projects while having the ability to bring smart solutions to bear. Candidate must also be hands-on and when needed and work with a diverse team to bring projects to a successful completion in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- The Sales Representative must have a working knowledge of automation equipment and common automation system solutions.
- Focus on penetrating new markets while increasing sales to existing clients.
- Meet with prospective customers to define projects appropriate for automation.
- Work with internal team to develop and generate automation solutions proposals.
- Create effective sales presentations and reports.
- Problem solve for clients with automation solutions.
- Travel via personal vehicle within 150 mile radius, up to 100% of the time, to potential and existing clients. Occasional travel to corporate office, trade shows and clients required outside immediate area.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study or equivalent years of experience working in automation technology industry sales.
- 3-5 years related industry experience. 2+ years of industrial automation systems sales experience preferred.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong people skills that open doors and close sales.
- Experience with sales involving complex solution development.
- Exposure to consultive conceptual sales of capital level equipment.
Generous compensation package commensurate with experience.
