Sales Support Engineer
Department: Sales/Engineering Job Status: Full Time
Reports To: Sales Manager
Amount of Travel Required: 60% (local), 20% (extended travel)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 - 5

The US business has considerable market penetration with the largest Oil and Petrochem companies in the USA who the candidate will be working with daily. POSITION SUMMARY
Sales and Engineering Support with existing accounts and new account development in the industrial fluid connection market.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Jobsite visits and ability to work remotely.
- Customer Training on use and application of company technology.
- Ability to develop and maintain an application knowledge, including cost ramifications to the customer on all products and situations.
- Provide product, system, and customer feedback and market opportunities for new products and services to the applicable Sales Account Manager.
- Develop a sales territory. Mixture of key accounts and opening new business.
- Present to small and large groups of Professional Engineers, Project Groups, Technical Organizations and industry leading Technical Authorities.
- Being creative wherever the opportunity arises from engineering solutions, marketing ideas, sales ideas.
- The right candidate will be working very closely with the business owner so will have responsibilities, opportunities and learnings well beyond his/her job description.
- Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of the value proposition
- Manage all technical aspects of RFP / RFI responses
- Effectively communicate client needs to the R&D teams for future product enhancements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Requirements
- Engineering degree preferred. Will consider any degree if the person is determined enough to learn professional sales.
- A highly ambitious, entrepreneurial, driven individual with a desire to run their own business.
- Can demonstrate behavior patterns of continuous learning. A very technical and professional industry requires continuous learning.
- An individual with interests in Engineering and technology. Strong technical competence essential.
- An individual with big interests in business and personal success.
- Very important character attributes – Highly competitive and always honest.
- Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation and creativity skills.
- Willingness to travel.
EXPERIENCE
Industrial plant work in Piping, Inspection and/or Relevant Sales a plus, but not required.
