We are looking for Director of Sales who can strengthen our team. The role is expected to provide leadership toward the achievement of growth and profitability in line with the company’s goals. A successful candidate will be an effective leader, who has a strong conceptual and design thinking, is highly analytical, and is able to work effectively across departments.
Responsibilities
- Develop sales strategies according to company goals and objectives aiming to accelerate profit growth.
- Lead the execution of the designed strategy through insperation, collaboration and inclusion of key stakeholders.
- Oversee a teams that manage sales on Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart.com, Target.com, own websites (Shopify), etc. If required – recruit, build and lead a team of talent, providing guidance and direction
- Facilitate company sales to meet monthly / annual profit goals. Track KPIs across all sales channels and develop plans to improve them (sales, profits, expenses).
- Develop sales budgets, track expenses across all company brands. Work with teams to improve profitability.
- Assure stakeholder and senior management alignment through regular sales updates and dashboards; Plan and conduct periodic business reviews with Senior Leadership team.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure that company products and services are aligned with feedback from the marketplace. Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues (especially at the intersection points of involved functions) that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic and financial goals.
Ideal Candidate Attributes:
- A minimum of 8 years experience in consumer product sales or retail sales, with 5 years of leading a sales team.
- 5 years of in store retail sales experience.
- Excellent business judgment, strategic and design thinking, ability to separate essential and non-essential elements.
- Data driven highly accurate individual with the ability to identify the required KPI’s and sale metrics to gauge the overall success and profitability of our E-Commerce business.
- Experience in forecasting and sales projection planning.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with team members.
- Experience with Amazon Vendor Central, AMS, Amazon Seller Central, key account portals, and Google Ad Words is required.
