KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with internal sales, Reps, Customers, OEMs, and engineering personnel to earn new business and develop improvements to maintain current business partners.
  • Recommend TCF/Aerovent products and develop technical proposals for customer application needs.
  • Provide customers advice on alternative design techniques and the implementation of alternative solutions.
  • Develop proposals for Reps/customers involving pricing, features, benefits, and lead-time.
  • Review specifications, schedules, drawings and other information in order to determine best application of TCF/Aerovent products.
  • Support Customers and customer service personnel in diagnosing product operational problems that arise from the field.
  • Assist in profitability and return on investment of new opportunities.
  • Facilitate technical discussions with product engineering and/or operations to resolve questions.
  • Accompany sales on customer visits to present detailed proposals and assist with technical discussions when required.
  • Identify and facilitate process improvements to increase responsiveness to customer / business needs.
  • Identify and facilitate product improvements to increase market share
  • Support the development and launch of new products / options.
  • Work with the order entry, engineering, manufacturing and quality assurance to properly move large projects through the production process to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in assessing market competition by comparing TCF product features, performance, costs, and prices to competitors' products. Discover and document TCF and competitors advantages and disadvantages.
  • Educate Reps on technical aspects of the products assigned, and the value propositions that encourage a prospect to choose TCF at a premium price.
  • Travel up to 20%, visiting reps, customers, vendors, and job sites.

Minimum Qualifications


  • BA/BS Undergraduate degree in Engineering required
  • 0-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Work requires professional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently with minimal direction
  • Ability to understand and predict the behavior of prospects under different competitive scenarios.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Standard office environment
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
  • Ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach
  • Ability to work extended hours sitting at a computer

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat. The noise level in the production environment is usually loud.
