Safety Manager - Underground Utilities Job at Tiello
Tiello has partnered with a highly successful Specialty Contractor in the Greater Phoenix Area on their search for a Safety Manager to work on underground utility projects.
The Safety Manager must have experience working with Contractors and Subcontractors in the field as a Safety Professional. The individual will manage, oversee, and audit construction safety at a multitude of underground utility projects.
Title: Safety Manager (4+ years)
Project Types: (Underground Pipelines, Utilities, Wet Utilities, Storm, Sewer, Water, etc...Dry Utilities)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Able to perform all essential Safety Manager job responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of construction projects
- Attend and participate in Safety Training Program and enforce safety procedures
- Submit Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Safety reports as required by the Authority
- Monitor compliance to all current OSHA requirements that relate to the specific construction projects in question.
- Accompany OSHA representatives on site walks for observation and recording.
- Confirm that New Hire Safety Orientation and on-line safety training courses are available and being completed.
- Attend pre-bid conferences and be able to highlight safety support and guidance procedures to Owner.
- Responsibly manage and submit all relevant Safety HR, Compliance and Insurance documentation.
- Lead safety training meetings for all staff on a monthly basis.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:
- 4+ years of experience as a Saftey Manager in the underground utilities sector.
- Experience supervising (Underground Pipelines, Utilities, Wet Utilities, Storm, Sewer, Water, etc...Dry Utilities)
- Strong work ethic, team player with strong attention to details and ability to work independently
- Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical and sound judgment skills.
- CHST, OSHA 500, First AID/CPR trainer preferred
