The PACIFIC ANIMAL WELLNESS REHABILITATION CENTER (PAW Rehab) is seeking a registered veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experienced or strongly interested in domestic animal rehabilitation therapy. This is a full time position (32-40 hrs/wk). Experienced candidates will have an active role in patient care and therapy sessions which are tailored for each patient and condition under the direction and supervision of one of our certified and experienced staff veterinarians. You will also assist the doctor during consult visits, perform client education and exercise instruction.

Salary is based on relevant experience, skill set, certifications and education. Qualified staff members may also benefit from financial assistance towards continued education and CCRP or CCRA certification.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2yrs veterinary experience including small animal patient care,
• client communication and technical skills, typing/computer skills,
• familiarity with digital records/practice software,
• RVT candidate or license/credentials for the state of CA (preferred).
• Experience and/or certification in canine rehabilitation therapy or interest in pursuing certification is also preferred.
• Experience in a related veterinary specialty (surgery, neurology) may also apply.
• Able to lift animals up to 40lbs.

PAW REHAB (PAW Rehabilitation Center), established in 2015 by a veterinarian with over 17 years of experience in rehabilitation and acupuncture, is a state-of-the-art veterinary facility dedicated to providing physical rehabilitation therapy for injured, debilitated, and post-surgical pets, with a focus on chronic pain management, mobility solutions, and fitness. Some of our services include cold laser, underwater and land treadmill, TENS/E-Stim, PEMF, ECSW and exercises for balance, strengthening, and proprioception.
