HF Sinclair is seeking a Rotational Development Program Associates to be based in our headquarters in Dallas, TX. This is a 2 year rotational development program that will provide high potential individuals with the opportunity to rotate throughout several functions before settling on a career direction. The candidate will take ownership on assigned projects and gain cross functional knowledge and experience throughout the program. Rotation options include but are not limited to the Procurement, Internal Audit, Renewables and the Global Logistics departments where the candidate will develop a strong understanding of our business and each department’s role in contributing to the success of our organization. The rotational development program will also provide you with networking opportunities, lunch & learns with company leadership and in-house training opportunities.


Job Duties:

  • Internal Audit:
    • Conducts financial and operational risk-based audits and review of internal controls of the Company’s operations; projects cover a wide variety of business risks across financial, operational, technological and strategic areas
    • Develops recommendations for audit findings, focusing on strengthening internal controls, quality and efficiency
    • Assists in annual Sarbanes-Oxley (“SOX”) 404 testing including process documentation, testing execution, issue follow-up, and External Audit assistance
  • Procurement:
    • Researches and extracts spend data from HollyFrontier systems and creates meaningful reporting to identify trends, performance metrics and issues.
    • Conducts industry and market research to understand assigned categories and creates reporting for category managers and business stakeholders.
    • Assists in the design and interface with the business of multi-year category management plans.
  • Global Logistics:
    • Partners with key internal/external stakeholders to support logistics systems roadmap.
    • Assists in the planning, design, and execution of commercial logistics sourcing activities.
    • Utilizes data from HollyFrontier and 3rd party logistics systems to investigate and resolve issues related to freight invoice processing and payment. Identify trends and work closely with logistics service providers to resolve on-going issues.
  • Renewables:
    • Analysis and proposal on potential future organic or external renewable investment opportunity
    • Performs renewable feedstock, low carbon product market or analysis to assist in commercial, capital investment and strategic decision making process
    • Monitors industry dynamics and helps anticipate how these trends will impact our business


Special assignments or tasks assigned to the employee by their supervisor, as determined from time to time in their sole and complete discretion.


Experience:

Must have successfully completed an internship program or have 0 - 2 years of experience.


Education Level:

A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain or related field with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA.


Required Skills:

Strong skills in Microsoft Office Excel (e.g., V-Lookup, pivot tables); and strong analytical skills with solid attention to detail. Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task complex requirements. Intermediate reading, writing and mathematical skills. Needs to show initiative and strong problem solving skills. Must be results oriented with an ability to influence through good written and verbal communication.


Work Conditions:

Office based with up to 20% travel by land or air .Will be required to spend part of the rotation in a refinery location.
