Below is a general description of the position.

ASSISTANT RURAL CARRIER – ARC $19.06/Hr. ARC stands for ASSISTANT RURAL CARRIER. ARCs assist our rural carriers. Rural carriers deliver on the outskirts of town to mailboxes on posts and cluster boxes. ARCs cover our rural carriers on weekends and holidays. Some offices supply ARC's with postal vehicles to deliver mail, others require ARCs to use their personal vehicles to deliver. (Ask the Postmaster if they supply a vehicle) If you are required to use your personal vehicle you will be compensated by being paid mileage. You will work on weekends and holidays. As an ARC you will have the option to work in other offices if you need more hours. You may be required to work in other offices. ARCs must be available as needed.
