Responsibilites include (not limited to):

• Install LC, SC, ST Unicam and Anaerobic ends on single mode, multimode, 50-micron cable (outdoor, indoor, loose buffer tube, tight buffer tube, duplex zip cord)
• Perform splicing with fusion splicer on single mode, multimode, 50-micron cable (outdoor, indoor, loose buffer tube, tight buffer tube, duplex zip cord)
• Record test results of single mode, multimode, and 50 microns using OTDR or iOLM test machine and launch cords of each cable type
• Troubleshoot single mode, multimode, and 50-micron failures; repair all the above to standard
• Build and document fiber optic, cat 6, coax network plans and installations
• Read block diagrams supplied by Exxon, MMR to properly perform work on project crews, maintenance jobs
• Install cat 6 jacks, RJ45’s, raceway, surface mount boxes, patch panels, patch cords, faceplates
• Test and label cat 6 network using Fluke wire map tester
• Troubleshoot cat 6 network failures and repair to standard
• Perform assistance on instrument installations, maintenance as required
• Assist with heavy lifting under maintenance requests (cabinet removal, material storage)
• Manage and send in time sheets using Microsoft Excel
• Manage and submit material requests using Microsoft Excel
• Maintain contacts with vendors to request quotes to attach to all material requests
• Perform routine cogs for ROCC, OSCC (light bulb replacements, emergency light checks, controller desk dust removal)
• Troubleshoot old POTS (plain old telephone signal) lines used for emergency desk phones through cross boxes, splice points
• Must understand Cisco switches, N-Tron switches, SIOM converters, OLM installations, PLC panels in order to assist requested work

Requirements:

• 3-5 years experience
• TWIC card in hand
• DISA background/Drug Screen
