Responsibilities

  • 1. Education1.1 Assesses the learning needs based on regulatory requirements, evidence-based practice, and staff-identified needs.
  • 2. Role Development2.1 Supports the development of nursing leadership skills in self and clinical nursing staff according to ANA Standards of Practice, to promote professional nursing practice and quality patient care.
  • 3. Collaborative Partnerships3.1 Represents nursing in the development of interprofessional learning activities.
  • 4. Champion of Scientific Inquiry4.1 Develops, educates, and implements quality improvement initiatives and outcomes across the organization
  • 5. Orientation5.1 Develops, implements, and manages competency based orientation

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Masters degree or higher required , one degree must be in nursing (Either BS or MS in nursing) Candidates must be enrolled in a Masters program and the degree must be completed by 12/31/2023

EXPERIENCE

3-5 Years of active Nursing experience in an OR setting, one year of relevant teaching experience and/or nursing staff development experience preferred.

LICENSURE

Licensure as a RN in the state of CT/ RI & Nursing Board Certification within 2 years of hire

SPECIAL SKILLS

Demonstrates ability to develop, deliver, and evaluate educational programs.
