Want to join our Team? We are currently looking for compassionate and dedicated RNs to join our Inpatient Care Center team. As an RN in our ICC, you will take the lead in providing nursing care and case management for those with life-limiting illnesses in a GIP-setting. You will work with your team’s Social Workers, Chaplains, and CNAs, as well as our Hospice Physicians, to provide the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual aspects of care.


Office Location: Waldorf, MD

Coverage Area: Charles County Inpatient Care Center

Status: Part-time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 3 - 12-hr shifts per week 7:00 a.m. - 7 p.m.

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience, education and credentialing


Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care sufficient to meet the patient’s total nursing need in accordance with the patient’s hospice plan of care assuring each patient receives treatments, medications, and diet as tolerated.
  • Correctly identify, communicate and collaborate on patient problems/priorities/issues based upon assessment data, establishes measurable patient goals and communicates initial/ongoing plan of care appropriately to interdisciplinary team. Recognize changes in clinical status and report them to the appropriate individual
  • Collaborate with patient/family when developing plan of care, adjusting communication style as necessary. Establish priority for patient care based on immediate patient condition and mutually set patient needs/expectations.
  • Assist in the assessment of family needs for bereavement services.
  • Assist field teams when needed.

Your Qualifications:

  • Current Maryland RN license or accepted reciprocal out-of-state nursing licensure; BSN preferred.
  • 2 or more years of nursing experience in med/surg or home care required, with experience in hospice, end-of-life, or critical care experience preferred.
  • Familiarity and comfort with documenting in an Electronic Medical Record.
  • Demonstrates problem-solving skills with patients, their family, employees, other departments, visitors and others as indicated.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
