Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY: In conjunction with the MEDITECH counterparts, this professional nurse with experience in electronic medical record support is responsible to assist in design and enhancement of our Meditech clinical modules. The clinical analyst nurse combines clinical knowledge, patient care experience, and understanding of medical software to develop appropriate workflow. Duties include serving as a liaison among clinical leaders, end-users and project managers with a focus on consistent and ongoing customer support in order to achieve satisfaction, efficiency, and accuracy when using the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: Bachelor's of Science in Nursing or five (5) years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS: Self-motivated, able to learn quickly, and attentive to detail. Ability to work independently and with individuals from all levels of the organization. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. Strong customer service orientation. Knowledge of clinical concepts, common clinical terms, clinical procedures, and workflow. Advanced analytical and creative problem-solving abilities. Proficient computer skills required, including knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
LICENSURE: Current Iowa RN license

EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years Clinical Informatics or IT experience. Implementation and/or support experience with Meditech's clinical modules. Healthcare experience with a significant exposure to and knowledge of hospital and clinical environments, including workflow and physician/provider ordering practices. Project implementation skills are a plus. This position will require interaction and communication with healthcare providers and clinical staff in hospital and clinical office settings.
