As an RN Clinical Instructor, you will carry out our Mission of Love by coordinating training programs at Masonic Village at Sewickley, including developing and administering educational programs, training employees, and facilitating change throughout the campus.
The RN Clinical Instructor's responsibilities include the following:
- Acts as Educator for all departments as needed with a primary focus on clinical needs.
- Demonstrates knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations. Is familiar with plans and presents classes to comply with state and federal mandated programs and requirements.
- Displays instructor and facilitator skills in the classroom which encourages learning on the part of the student. Welcomes discussion and opposing viewpoints to further explore the theory behind course objectives. Develops lesson plans to meet specific interdepartmental needs. Assesses the quality of programs offered and makes necessary changes or improvements.
- Provides instruction on how to video tape for those departments who desire this ability. May provide video/DVD taping service if requested and individual schedule permits.
- Plans and presents educational courses to comply with the state and federal regulations governing Long Term Care. Presents and/or develops courses relating to the soft skills of an organization, such as; Customer Service, Teamwork, Communication, Attitude improvement, Adjusting and Accepting Change, and Supervisory Skills.
- Performs medication pass coaching as needed/requested by the Nursing department.
- Displays ability to use computers and enhance productivity and communication through proper use of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the Internet. Updates knowledge of computer functions and pertinent software.
What You Must Have:
- Current/Valid RN license in the state of PA required.
- CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire required.
- Experience in adult education and/or instructor/facilitation skills strongly preferred.
- One year of geriatric experience preferred.
