Job Description

The Team


We are seeking an Analyst, Risk Management, Real Estate to join American Tower’s Land Management team. The Land Management team is responsible for ensuring our assets are protected and ensure customers have a positive experience with American Tower. Day to day you will focus on mitigating risk of lost assets due to property tax delinquency and related real estate issues. As an Analyst, you will partner cross-functionally to research and manage other non-tax related risks affecting our real estate portfolio.

Job Qualification

What You Can Offer Us

  • Research real estate parcels for tax delinquencies, make recommendations about open tax matters, and take action to mitigate loss; adhere to decision process relating to tax delinquencies and resolution.
  • Review and interpret land leases for language related to property tax.
  • Collaborate across various internal teams to ensure all interactions with landlords maximize our financial interest and improve landlord relationships.
  • Make recommendations about open tax risk affairs and take appropriate mitigating action to avoid loss of assets.
  • Communicate with landlords via phone and written communication regarding tax status and possible solutions; develop long-term positive relationships with landlords.
  • Maintain delinquent property tax tracker with correct contacts and actions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of work experience required; previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with title and contracts from a legal or business perspective preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office suite and especially MS Excel, required.
  • Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast-paced environment.
