Job Summary and General Purpose of Position:
Under the direction of the program manager and the customer’s RF Lab Manager, handles materials, arranges facilities and communicates with vendors on activities necessary to operate RF testing consumer electronics hardware. Provides service to our customer as needed within their RF testing program, with a primary focus on organizing and maintaining lab equipment. Ensures smooth operation in a dynamic environment while balancing company and customer objectives.
Essential Functions:
Maintain lab materials and inventory Assemble, move, breakdown and store lab testing equipment Process incoming/outgoing shipments.
Document lab operational processes Coordinate offsite storage, scrap disposal, equipment relocation Work with equipment vendors for quotes and calibration Coordinate ongoing lab space usage with engineers and other vendors Maintain lab spaces.
Communicate with secrecy and strict confidentiality.
Skills/Experience:
Must be self-motivated, organized, accurate, and detail oriented. Experience coordinating activities with many moving pieces
Willingness to work under challenging circumstances and time constraints, with the ability to prioritize tasks based on importance and availability. Communication skills, verbal and written, are a priority. Requires patience and ability to train and give instructions to a wide variety of people on a daily basis. Ability to maintain confidentiality is critical. Fluency in MacOS, iOS, and electronic communication/collaboration tools is a must.
Technical acumen and a passion for electronics is critical.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree is preferred but will consider prior work experience in a related field.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Job requires sitting, standing, and bending for approximately 6-8 hours on a daily basis. Must be flexible and able to perform numerous tasks as requested. Limited/occasional travel may be required.
