Returns Team Lead: for our Dallas, Texas location.
Job Summary ::
Manage product returns from clinics by processing credits in a timely, accurate, and organized manner as it relates to both Midwest and manufacturer guidelines. Manage product returns from Midwest stock in the same timely, accurate, and organized manner according to manufacturer policies to include outdates before outdate deadlines and recalls until final resolution (payment or replacement) is received. Communicate with all other branch Returns department personnel to maintain consistency in procedures.

Equipment Used ::
Computer monitor and keyboard, safety equipment for hazardous material spills, Kevlar sleeve and box cutter. May require use of forklift.
Work Environment ::
Work will typically be performed Monday through Friday. Working more than 40 hours per workweek may be required. Work will be performed indoors in a relatively temperature-controlled climate where moderate heat, cold or humidity may be experienced. Moderate exposure to dust and dirt may also be expected. May require handling of products with cautious warning labels. Occasional exposure to toxic materials may occur as a result of damaged shipments. This is a safety sensitive position.

Essential Job Functions ::
- Check in product returns by completing requests for credit forms and placing re-saleable and non-saleable product in designated areas.
- Enter clinic credits according to product returned and requests for credit/rebill/mis-ship corrections. Maintain file of paperwork for future reference.
- Complete the necessary paperwork for preauthorization of returns to the vendor to include short dated product pulled from the shelf, returns by clinics, special order returns, defective products, and recalls.
- Maintain a system of vendor returns to ensure that each one is credited, or replacement product is received. Review file on a monthly basis to ensure that claims are not neglected by the manufacturer.
- Process and tie out claims for damaged products received from vendors and damages that occurred as a result of a clinic shipments.
Job Requirements & Qualifications ::
- Must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily
- A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required
- At least two years’ experience in like procedures or product handling of veterinary products
- Supervisory experience is preferred
- Forklift certified or ability to become forklift certified preferred
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, employment policies, operating instructions, and procedural manuals.
- The ability to work independently in a highly organized fashion to include multiple tasks.
- Ability to interpret and discern necessary action related to manufacturer and corporate procedures
- Ability to perform basic computer data entry functions accurately and according to policy
- Ability to work well with others
- Effective and professional communication is key for potentially controversial credit circumstance
