Retirement/Pension Analyst Job at Agfa
We are looking for a Retirement & Pension Analyst to join our North American Human Resources Team. You will be responsible for overall administration, communication, and regulatory compliance of traditional pension, savings (401(k)) for 2 plans, and supplemental retirement programs sponsored by Agfa Corporation and any participating employers supporting 1000 employees with 2500 in the retirement plan and 1,500 savings plan participants.
Responsibilities, but not limited to the following:
- Administer the pension, savings (401(k) for 2 plans, and supplemental retirement programs in conjunction with contracted vendors and regulatory authorities including processing plan document restatements and amendments
- Prepare with appropriate third party and have executed all regulatory filings (including, but not limited to, Forms 5500, SARs, PBGC premium payments and filings).
- Manage relationships with retirement plan vendors
- Manage annual audit of pension and 401(k) plans with outside auditors and coordinate nondiscrimination testing of all 401(k) plans within control group with tester
- Reconcile payrolls for 401(k) and process transmittals to third party administrator/trustee and payroll interface feeds with pension plan third party administrator. Process supplemental retirement plan funding to third party administrator/trustee
- Resolve escalations from vendors as well as employee and non-employee participants and beneficiaries
- Prepare/review and delivery of retirement plan communications (including SPDs, SMMs, announcements, process changes, ekits).
- Implement and administer the integration process for acquisition and divestitures with payroll, vendors and affected employees and/or retirees. Manage plan conversions, pension plan annuitizations and cash outs.
- You may also be asked to consult on a retirement for the Canadian employees within the region.
Education:
- Bachelor Degree in HR, Business Management or Finance
- CEBS or CBP desired
- MBA an assist not required
Experience:
- 7 to 10 years of retirement and 40(k) plan administration.
- Previous experience with ADP EV5 and ADPR reporting experience a plus.
Specific skills:
- Thorough knowledge of retirement plan terminology and concepts
- Extensive knowledge of retirement plan legislation; Good working knowledge of HRIS for PC and mainframe systems a must
- Experience in using and administering software and mainframe systems
- Ability to work independently, take initiative and make solid judgements
- Must coordinate activities with other members of the employee benefits team, payroll and Finance
- Must be able to demonstrate excellent customer service, communication, problem-solving, project management and vendor management skills
- Must be able to articulate complex employee benefit matters to non-technical employees at all levels
