Position Summary


Savannah Bee Company's sales associates (“Educators”) are the true faces of our retail stores. Educators are expected to meet or exceed our company's Customer Service standards and generate sales. In addition to providing excellent customer service, Educators will teach customers about honeybees and the quality and health benefits of our specialty products, and sell these products. Our Educators must be a positive and productive part of this amazing team.

This is a part-time position, with some required night and weekend shifts. Shifts will vary according to the store's hours of operation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


The following are some of the key duties that the Educator will assist with and/or perform:

  • Works to create a Guest-friendly environment by ensuring that each Guest is greeted and acknowledged in addition to providing excellent Guest Service
  • Maintains current knowledge of product information, merchandise promotions, test merchandise, and advertisements
  • Assists with aspects of store merchandising, including floor moves and display maintenance
  • Assists in monitoring (including monthly inventory), receiving, and processing merchandise
  • Works with the hive to ensuring that the store is secure, neat and clean at all times
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and practices
  • Completes all sales transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining proper monetary accountabilities at POS registers
  • Communicates Guest requests to management
  • Acts as an advocate for Savannah Bee Company and our products
  • Engages with and supports team members (aka the "hive")
  • Performs other duties as assigned


Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Ability to process information and merchandise through computer system and POS register system
  • Ability to communicate with associates and guests
  • Ability to read, count, and write to accurately complete all documentation
  • Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area
  • Ability to operate and use all equipment necessary to run the store
  • Ability to work varied hours/days to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to two years sale or customer service experience
  • Beekeeping experience or willingness to learn, and love of honeybees

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
