POSITION SUMMARY
He or She is the front line representative of the Brand, thus responsible for managing the customer’s experience and selling the Brand's products.
Requires sales, service, language and CRM (Customer Relationship Management) skills for success, In depth product knowledge
Professional presentation of self.

The specific competencies required for job performance
1. KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Sales and customer service:
- Maximize the sales of the Brand's products, by achieving his or her own individual sales targets and helping to achieve the BTQ targets (total turnover, APT, UPT, conversion, product mix, number of transactions)
- Provide qualitative customer service by delivering the service standards defined in the
Gemkell “Retail manual”.
- Promote and sell the Brand's products by identifying customers needs and suggest merchandise to meet their needs.
- Use selling techniques particular to Gemkell Retail manual.
- Maximize CDB and CRM by achieving his or her own individual targets and helping to achieve the BTQ targets (daily CDB taking and input in Excel, Daily local customers contacts, daily non locals contacts, analyze individual CDB, identify new, potential, sleeping customers.......)
- Policies and procedures:
- Maintain personal appearance in line with the Gemkell Corp. and the Brand guidelines specified in the “Retail manual”
- Deliver the service standards specified in the “Retail manual”.
- Understands and abide by Gemkell safety regulations and security procedures.
- Ensure that the Boutique appearance is up to the Brand's standards and the display of products are presented in accordance with the Brand's specifications.
- Have complete and accurate knowledge of the Brand and our products.
- Follow authorization and reporting procedures specified in Gemkell Employee handbook.
- Understand and follow BASS policies (Brand After Sales Service) and procedures.
- Comply to company policies (attendance, attitude, time cards etc……………).
- Receive shipments and perform administrative duties related to shipments.
- Operation and atmosphere of the Boutique:
- Have complete and updated knowledge of the Brand's displays procedures and “Themes”.
Ensures the displays of products are maintained and cleaned daily.
- Help to maintain and enhance the overall appearance of the Boutique (cleaning showcases and displays, vacuuming).
- Handle all modes of payments (Cash, TC, credit cards, yen, etc…………). Ensure the payment mode taken from customers matches the payment input in QB.
- Use the POS system.
- Control accuracy of all transactions.
- Make and verify the daily sales reports.
- Report any discrepancy to the manager.
- Use the sales books, POS system and price list to control the accuracy of prices and SKU numbers.
- Assists and perform inventory duties an a daily basis and/or as requested by management..
- Handle customers complaints.
- Understands and abide by Gemkell safety regulations and security procedures.
- Perform administrative duties when required and being flexible when asked to do tasks that are not in the normal scope of responsibilities.
- Participate actively in team meetings, group tasks, Boutique events and other activities.
- Reports daily to the Boutique Supervisor.
- Coordinate job tasks with other sales associates.
- Get along with other colleagues and be a team player.
- Participate and conduct training sessions
- Role plays
- Stock count duties daily/weekly/monthly/yearly
- Stock maintenance/management, in the Btq, BOH and warehouse…..The BOH must be maintained with the same level of professionalism and cleanliness as the Boutique premises
(daily maintenance and cleaning)
- Customer Relationship management (CRM) duties (CDB taking, daily customers contacts within Btq/Brand guide lines, targets, indent orders………..)
- Cleaning duties in the Btq, BOH and stock room
EDUCATION and TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
The minimum requirement is a high school or GED diploma, and 2 years of experience in retail management.
INTER-RELATIONSHIPS
Job requires strong leadership and management skills, being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude. Job requires being sensitive to others' needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The work environment of this position is typically in a boutique/store setting, This job routinely uses standard office equipment such as POS, smart phones, photocopiers. This is full-time position. Days and hours of work may vary depending on the needs of operations. Weekend and Holiday work is required. Answering work phone calls, checking of and responding to work emails is expected and necessary.

A Sales associate must be dependable, disciplined, self-driven, enterprising, and efficient. Job requires
maintaining composure, keeping emotions in check, controlling anger, and avoiding aggressive behavior, even in very difficult situations. Job requires being open to change (positive or negative) and to considerable variety in the workplace. Job requires accepting feedback for improvement and dealing calmly and effectively with high stress situations especially in a learning/interactive environment. and knowledgeable in the products being sold.
He/she should also be able to motivate people and must have a good eye for aesthetics.
