JOB SUMMARY:
Receive, maintain, retrieve, inventory and deliver products needed for the day to day operations of the retail stores.
JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Endorse the business objectives, ethics and values of Caesars Entertainment in accordance with the Code of Commitment and Mission, Vision and Values
Ø Operate Point of Sale system
Ø Complete required marked out of stock for aged goods, damaged, or out of date thru the POS system
Ø Count, weigh or measure items of incoming shipments in order to verify information against invoices, orders , bills of lading or other records
Ø Examine incoming shipments to ensure they meet specifications
Ø Scan every item following
Ø Tag all required items with security tags (if applicable)
Ø Trace and track shipments to ensure timely delivery
Ø Receive orders into JD Edwards to ensure proper payment and proper inventory records
Ø Contact supplier or shipper if a mistake is identified
Ø Assume responsibility for returning unsatisfactory shipments or receiving replacements
Ø Responsible for monitoring the returns process
Ø Responsible for deliveries or pickups of product, including moving products within and outside of store
Ø Follows all policies and procedures regarding receiving of merchandise, vendor involvement, and invoice processing
Ø Assists in the execution of all merchandise calendars, campaigns, and sales promotions
Ø Ensure all pricing, signage, and display is correct at all times
Ø Process merchandise to floor-ready standards and assist the Sales Associates with the placement of merchandise on the sales floor
Ø Responsible for controlling inventory stock levels and reordering as necessary within budget
Ø Maintain good working relationships with vendors
Ø Determine proper storage methods, identification , and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors and physical capabilities of facilities
Ø Inspect and help with the upkeep of all retail stock rooms
Ø Examine and inspect items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisor
Ø Ensure FIFO methodology as a basis for inventory transfers and storage on a daily basis
Ø Print requisitions from JD Edwards and accurately pull inventory and deliver to department
Ø Verify inventory reports computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors
Ø Label deliveries and allocate them to their designated place
Ø Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouse, supply room or other areas
Ø Clean and maintain storage areas, supplies, tools and equipment to maintain high standards for both cleanliness and safety
Ø Comply with U.S. Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol testing programs established for safety-sensitive positions
Ø Participative member of the team by volunteering and being involved in projects, committees, and task forces by providing input and suggestions
Ø Proactive with incidents and issues ensuring resolution with employees
Ø Communicate to the retail department any and all issues with product
Ø Count inventory to insure accuracy
Ø Maintain accurate records and reports as required
Ø Input data into the JDE system Track inventory for retail stores
Ø Work in JDE to maintain and keep an updated inventory
Ø Print Labels for product as needed
Ø Work in the retail shops as needed
Ø Perform other duties as assigned
Ø Communicate to Retail Inventory Supervisor and to Accounts Payable any information as needed
Ø Adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies/procedures in an ethical manner
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Ø High school diploma or GED required
Ø Valid driver’s license required
Ø Good driving record (no suspensions, no DUI/DWI convictions, less than 3 moving violations/chargeable accidents within the last three years) required
Ø Six months to one year previous retail experience preferred, specifically inventory and merchandising
Ø Six months to one year JDE experience preferred
Ø* Must demonstrate the following essential knowledge and skills:*
ØProficient in the use of Windows based office software including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
Ø Knowledge of JDE and other inventory systems used by the retail department
Ø Self-Starter
Ø Basic math skills
Ø Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ø Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ø Excellent attendance record in previous positions
Ø Willing to learn and to be adaptable
Ø Attention to detail
Ø Ability to work independently
Ø Documented teamwork behaviors and attitudes
Ø Neat, professional appearance with excellent personal hygiene
PHYSICAL, MENTAL, AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Ø Must be able to lift 50 pounds
Ø Must be able to move 150 pounds that is on a cart or dolly
Ø Must be able to operate in stressful situations
Ø Must be able to stoop, bend, stretch, kneel, twist and grip items, reach with the body, arms, and/or legs
Ø Must be able to have continuous use of hands and arms
Ø Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues
Ø Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Ø Must be able to be on feet for an 8 hour shift
Ø Must be able to tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality including second hand smoke
Ø Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
