Position Overview
The Retail Marketing Assistant is responsible for performing a variety of marketing duties to support the retail banking function. This individual will assist with market analysis and research, product and service promotion, retail events, and administrative duties to support the business unit with achieving assigned goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*
- Assists with sales support including, but not limited to, account and market research, building out marketing plans to target key business segments, making marketing requests, preparing customer and prospect presentations, and building prospect information files.
- Collaborates with marketing to develop requested sales and marketing collateral.
- Assists with planning and execution of sales meetings and other events.
- Supports utilization of the company’s customer relationship management system (inputs information, generates reports, analyzes information to identify potential opportunities).
- Assists in planning of retail events including customer appreciation days, mixers, market blitzes, and retail employee meetings. Works with event planning and marketing departments to develop event plans and marketing materials.
- Attends networking functions as an ambassador of the business unit, as directed by manager.
- Possesses sufficient knowledge of financial products and services in order to identify potential opportunities to expand customer relationships.
- Acts as a liaison to various departments to gain information needed for an exceptional customer experience and helping to avoid unnecessary errors or follow-up.
- Responds to inquiries relating to his/her particular area, or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc., within given time frames and within established policy.
- Resolves customer issues and problems; provides assistance to employees with customer loan questions.
- Coordinates specific work tasks with other personnel within the department as well as with other departments in order to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
- Provides backup for other team members in the department as needed.
- Reports on success of assigned productivity metrics established with manager (sales activities and results).
- Completes reports on a regular agreed upon basis to document individual sales and support activities and other related results.
- Performs tasks, which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Education & Qualifications*
- A high school diploma or equivalent required; B.A. or B.S. in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of one (1) year’s related experience preferred.

Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; moderate computer skills, including working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email; ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach with hands or arms, use hands to manipulate objects, handle or feel, and lift items weighing 20 lbs. or less; visual, auditory, and speaking skills.
