A retail clothing lead is a person whose role in an organization is to coordinate the sales department and provide new strategies to sales associates on how to increase sales, attend to customers and close deals. This lead helps grooms’ sales personnel and ensures that they are well equipped on sales techniques and strategies, and can achieve sales target, as well as assist in training the sales personnel to be very warm and friendly as these could make customers come back to the store for more shopping.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Greet customers with a positive attitude
- Always maintain a clean and safe store environment
- Mediate between sales team and management to address complaints and dissatisfaction from both parties
- Supervise sales associates and handle change requests by customers, as well as check that goods are in good condition
- Be acquainted with sales items and procedures in the department to provide accurate information to clients that can enhance sales transactions
- Develop sales strategies to reach new customers and grab the attention of already existing ones to boost sales in the department
- Train members of the sales team to make them better sales associates
- Have a positive approach to sales strategies and motivate sales associates to keep their heads up in both good and bad moments in the sales department
- Supervise opening and closing of the store at the appropriate time.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
- Good human relation to interact with clients and team members
- Must be service oriented
- Have good supervisory skills and experience
- Excellent communication skills to always interact effectively with people and in all situations
- Good temperament
- Computer skills (Microsoft, Excel)
- Strong leadership skills to effectively guide and manage a team to achieving sales goals
- Outstanding financial analysis and problem-solving skills, and ability to make the right decisions most of the time
- Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
● Occasional: Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, typing, carrying, pushing, and bending for extended periods of time.
● Occasional: Climate: Ability to withstand exposure to atmospheric extremes including heat, cold, humidity, and barometric pressure changes.
● Occasional: Lifting to 50lb, raising, and lowering objects under 35 lbs. from one level to another
● Occasional: Reaching below shoulders: Extending arms in any direction below shoulders.
● Occasional: Handling: Seizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with hand or hands.
