Little Mama’s Italian has been named one of Charlotte’s best Italian restaurants in the South Park neighborhood since opening in 2020. Little Mama's Italian offers the 1960s & 70s Italian-American dining experience serving homemade pasta and fresh mozzarella made daily from the Mozz Bar. Little Mama’s Italian Kitchen is expanding this year, opening its second restaurant in the Rea Farms development in late summer.

Restaurant General Manager Duties/Responsibilities:

• Oversee service quality and dining experiences for our guests. Our #1 goal is to exceed our guest's expectations.
• Directing the hiring, supervision, and development of our FOH team members.
• Influence and guide great dining shifts. Set the tone for a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Prepare and conduct pre-shift meetings to efficiently communicate restaurant updates and daily specials. Inspire your team - This is where the fun happens.
• Ensure all financial and administrative duties are completed according to the company’s policies and procedures.
• Lead by example in enforcing health, safety, and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant
• Complying with operational standards, company policies, federal/state/local laws, and ordinances

Restaurant General Manager Required Skills/Abilities:

• 4+ years of floor management experience in a high-volume restaurant environment
• Trained and Knowledgeable in Wine and Spirits
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with food handling, safety, and compliant restaurant guidelines for Mecklenburg County.
• High School Diploma (Four Year Degree or Hospitality Degree preferred)

Little Mama’s is inspired by the old classic Italian restaurants in New England from the 60s and 70s. Really well done classics, without pretense. A stiff cocktail and a bowl of fresh pasta or a knob of just-made mozzarella are the simple but elegant menu items to look out for here. But the broiled steak will bowl you over too.

Pay: $70000 - $80000 / year
