Residential Support Workers are advocates for people served, helping individuals realize their dreams and ascend to new heights. The Residential Support Worker assists people served with recovery-based strategies and encourages the development of community and natural supports.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and implementation of individual treatment plans
  • Assist individuals to reach their goals, including building skills for independent living
  • Work in partnership with individuals and community members to access activities and community resources
  • Provide support and advocacy for people served

Qualifications

Do you have what it takes to help others in your community to ascend to new heights?

  • High School Diploma or equivalent and valid state issued drivers’ license and proof of current insurance required.
  • Related experience helping others is preferred, but training is provided.
  • Obtain and maintain MHRT-1 which contain the components of CPR/FA, Behavior Intervention Training, MHSS and CRMA
  • Ability to understand and deliver services within the mental health services system and AMHI Consent decree/Mental health licensing standards
