Residential Program Manager- 40 hours Job at HORACE MANN EDUCATIONAL ASSOC
HMEA is a human services agency that supports over 3,000 children and adults with developmental disabilities and their families in more than 110 Massachusetts communities.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
Promote the mission and values of HMEA through effective leadership
Maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of HMEA and other certifying or regulatory agencies
Manage program and consumer funds in accordance with HMEA policies and procedures
Demonstrate effective use of analytical skills, past experience and logic in order to render sound and objective decisions
Promote teamwork; practice open communication and respect diversity
Hire, train, and supervise support staff
Develop schedules and opportunities for volunteer and/or community activities that are appropriate and meaningful to the individuals supported
Ensure adequate staffing at all times
Assist with the development and implementation of ISP goals and objectives, behavior support strategies and therapy services for individuals supported .
Encourage and support individuals in making independent choices to the greatest extent possible
Schedule : Sunday/Wednesday/Thursday 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday 2:30pm -11:00pm Tuesday 9:30am-5:00pm
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred but not required. At least 4 years experience in the human service field is required. Previous supervisory experience required. Valid driver's license. Acceptable driving status as determined by HMEA insurance company. Use of a reliable vehicle, which seats two passengers.
