Residential Loan Closer Job at Dime Community Bank
Summary: The Residential Loan Closer (“RLC”) is responsible for performing the final preparation and audits of all documents needed for closing. In addition, the RLC will work closely with the Dime loan processors and bank attorneys to collect necessary documentation to prepare closing disclosures and legal documents.
Salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $80,000 to $85,000 annually. The exact compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, education, training, licensure and certifications, and location.
All applicants must attach a recent resume. This is NOT a remote role. This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office/2 days at home) after training is successfully completed.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the pre-closing disclosure and ensure regulatory timing requirements are adhered to.
- Review pipeline reports to identify loans that have been cleared to close and coordinate closing dates with bank attorney.
- Calculate closing figures. Prepare funding advice, and coordinate with the accounting department.
- Prepare closing document package including all regulatory disclosures, closing and legal documents.
- Provide information on closing to appropriate parties as requested.
- Prepare closed loan documents for file retention.
- Perform a post- closing review of the file to ensure the data and documents are correct for each loan prior to interfacing the loan file to the Dovenmuehle sub-servicer.
- For loans sold on the secondary market, ship loan collateral to the investor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Residential Mortgage Closing.
- Complete knowledge of Fannie Mae and SONYMA guidelines.
- Thorough knowledge of applicable consumer laws including RESPA, Truth in Lending, Regulations B, HMDA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate with bank attorneys.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of loan documentation software i.e., Encompass, Fannie Mae DU, Black Knight or Equivalent.
