JOB DESCRIPTION: Reserve Deputy / Court Security Officer

MUST BE A FULLY TRAINED POLICE OFFICER HAVING EXPERIENCE UP TO BEING RETIRED FROM A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY; A LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, SHERIFF'S OFFICE, OR STATE POLICE.

Duties and Responsibilities Summary: The position of Reserve Deputy / Court Security Officer is a part time position requiring full law enforcement authority and works under the direction of a full time sworn supervisor. The position is normally filled by an individual who is a fully trained officer having experience up to being retired from a law enforcement agency; a local municipality, sheriff's office, or state police.

A Reserve Deputy / Court Security Officer must be sufficiently fit to perform all of the essential functions as listed. Sufficiently fit means employees are physically, mentally, and psychologically prepared and can perform the essential functions of their positions. A Reserve Deputy / Court Security Officer must have regular and predictable attendance. In addition, a Reserve Deputy / Court Security Officer must behave in a socially acceptable manner.
