DuPont has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Research Scientist in the Electronics and Industrial, Semiconductor Technologies Lithography Group located in Marlborough, MA.
The Research Scientist will be responsible for the development of spin-on photolithography formulations for semiconductor applications. This will include both new product innovation and optimization of existing product lines to capture new growth opportunities. The Research Scientist will work closely with R&D materials team and development engineering to develop and commercialize industry-leading photolithography products as we expand and grow our business.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop of new spin-on photolithography formulations and processes for semiconductor application
Establish fundamental understanding and structure-property relationship of new materials and formulations to accelerate innovation.
Participate in cross-functional teams to drive new product development from concept shaping and validation to scale-up and commercialization
Promote early-stage samples to customers for evaluation, feedback, and iteration
Problem solving and using multiple analytical procedures to identify and characterize product development barriers
Helps establish project plans, monitors performance according to plan and is accountable for delivering goals and objectives on targets
Create and secure intellectual property for DuPont
Analyze, organize and share data, write technical reports and presentations
Network within the DuPont organization and external networks to identify potential technology leads and new innovations for Semiconductor Technologies Lithography

Qualifications:
Proven track record of safe laboratory practices and methodology
A Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials/polymer science or related field is required.
BS/MS degree with extensive experience in photolithography would be considered.
Experience in formulation design and product development of photolithography materials with a proven track record of accomplishment is desirable.
An understanding of polymer and small molecule chemistry is desirable.
An understanding of analytical methods including polymer and film characterization techniques (GPC, IR, NRM, MS, TGA, DSC, AFM, XRR, XPS, etc.) is desirable.
