Responsibilities
This position will support the Florida FIRST Project by providing coordination support for research professional development activities.
- Reports to Faculty Development project investigators and Florida FIRST Project Manager in tracking and facilitating project milestones according to project scope and timeline.
- Coordinates recurring project operational meetings, including tracking action items, follow-up, and meeting materials; social events for Florida FIRST cohort; mentor meetings; the Florida FIRST annual summit; and training and workshop sessions for research development activities.
- Tracks individualized career development activities of Florida FIRST Faculty to the Evaluation Team.
- Assists the Project Manager in developing interim progress reports for monthly leadership and program meetings.
- Coordinates research administrative support for project and faculty for overall project administration, including: purchasing, travel, and administrative liaison support for research grant management needs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and experience equal to six years. (Note: post-high-school action and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.)
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
- Experience establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members, as well as internal and external partners.
- Ability to perform accurately in a detail-oriented environment.
- Ability to prepare, coordinate, and conduct workshops.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of research methodology, principles, and practices in area of work.
