Position Summary
Position will be responsible for performing or coordinating the following: protocol development, IRB submissions, participant consent and interview scheduling, interview data collection, coding, and cleaning, database development and management, and medical records and biologic specimen collection and processing.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
The ability to accurately abstract data from medical records and pathology reports and present findings clearly and concisely in written and verbal form is required.
The ability to orient other personnel in data collection and quality control techniques, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, physicians, researchers, managers, representatives of other agencies/facilities, and the public is required.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills are required in order to obtain and exchange information with a variety of individuals. These skills are critical in order to deal effectively with various levels of hospital and research personnel. Excellent investigative skills/analytic skills are required. Knowledge of computer systems in general with skills in Microsoft WORD, ACCESS and EXCEL as well as management of data are required.
Effective time management and organizational skills are required. Must be able to work independently as well as with a professional team.
