A Post-doctoral Researcher opportunity is available at Clarkson University under the direction of Tuyen Vu, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

Position Summary: As a Postdoctoral Researcher, primary responsibilities include:

• Conduct research in power systems including renewable energy systems, microgrids, power distribution and transmission systems.
• Support writing research proposals
• Submit minimum 2 journal papers per year
• Supervise PhD students

General Purpose: Provide targeted career development services to students, faculty/staff, alumni and employers. Additional project oversight at the centralized level will include assisting with developing and connecting students to experiential opportunities. In addition, assisting with large scale events and campus recruiting programming. Other duties as assigned.

• Real-time simulation and hardware-in-the-loop
• Power electronics and power systems background
• Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion

Minimal Qualifications:

• PhD degree
• Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge/experience in job field including; conducting research in controls and optimization of power systems

Preferred Experience:

Distributed optimization, system security, hardware-in-the-loop, artificial intelligence systems.
