We are currently looking for a Remittance Processor. Under the direction of the Remittance Manager within the Finance Department, the Remittance Processor is responsible for the processing of outgoing remittances to the Firm’s clients.
Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile daily reports detailing payments received on behalf of our clients- Produce detailed files to be submitted to clients through various applications supporting amounts to be forwarded
- Research and process account balance adjustments as necessary
- Perform other related tasks including payment reversals resulting from returns from insufficient funds
- Prepare and process refunds and amounts due to third parties from over-payments and other obligations
- Meet daily and month-end deadlines
Minimum one year of payment processing or equivalent experience- Ability to work as part of a team while also working independently to complete assigned task
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficient in data entry

- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and writing

Be able to lift 5 lbs. or greater- Be able to sit 90% of the work day at times
- Be able to bend at the waist and be mobile when needed
- Be able to read and comprehend position-specific documents and correspondence
- Be able to communicate in a common language with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/ or in writing (e.g. applicants, managers, employees)
- Be able to operate a computer, phone and/or equivalent devices
- Be able to complete a minimum of a 40 hour flexible workweek schedule
