Responsibilities: Under the supervision of Families Forward, FGS Coordinator, this individual will provide behavioral supports to children within the context of their families, in Clinton, Eaton and Ingham Counties. treatment team, children Services are provided in the home/community for families whose children have high needs and/or are at risk of out of home placement. Responsibilities include assisting families with safety plans, developing treatment goals, monitoring progress related to goals, and delivering a team and strength-based therapeutic approach. This position offers a rich level of ongoing supervision and training. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or other related field required. Specialized training such as minimum of one-year experience treating or working with a person who has mental illness OR fieldwork and / or internships associated with the academic curriculum where the student works directly with persons receiving mental health services as part of that experience required. Must possess ability to monitor and facilitate the delivery of community-based integrative services from diverse providers. Three years supervised experience in the examination, evaluation, and treatment of minors and their families with Severe Emotional Disturbance or Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities required. Strong leadership skills and group facilitation skills required. Must be an energetic, flexible, creative, innovative individual who can develop strength-based, family-centered supportive case plans. Ability to function as part of a team is critical. Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally is required. Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use is required.

Conditional Employment Requirements: Employment offers for this position will be contingent upon the results of a background verification and credentialing procedure consisting of: Michigan State Police clearance check, undergo and pass a Central Registry Screening, verification of a professional license, Medicaid/Medicare verification, verification of an acceptable driving record, educational background check and verification of an acceptable work history. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen.

Salary/Hours: $22.88 per hour. 0-19 hours per week, hours are NOT guaranteed. Relief position – filling in for regular staff. Shifts include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.
