Position Summary:

This position is responsible for registering outpatients, discharges, and obtaining insurance information for patients. This position is responsible for ensuring that the program meets and exceeds the Quality Assurance standards set forth by the Department of Children and Families, Department of Corrections and Miami Dade County Homeless Trust and/or any agency that has a contract with the ministry. Provides Data Entry Services for administration of Agape Network, Inc.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that when registering outpatients, all pertinent information will be obtained. All documents will be reviewed for accuracy, thereby ensuring demographic, social, and insurance data has been reported accurately.
  • Ensure all Patient Registration Packets are received through Docu-sign and completed, scanned required documents to Credible in a timely manner.
  • Works with the patient to correct or confirm information written in packet.
  • Confirms that insurance policy, group number, and subscriber name is recorded accurately during registration and enters information into the patient record, documenting insurance coverage of services to be provided.
  • Determines and verifies insurance coverage and coordination of benefits from all sources in a timely manner. Determines necessity for pre-authorization.
  • Notifies patients and practitioners regarding patient’s financial responsibility for services requested and if there’s any insurance coverage issues.
  • Maintain an open communication with all pertinent staff regarding changes and corrections that will affect reimbursement directly.
  • Assists with Dr’s visits and therapists in house for commercial insurance with new and active client charts on a daily basis.
  • Assists with all the necessary duties within the department’s billing and medical records (creating charts, collecting co-pays, inputting authorizations for services, Etc.)
  • Assists with Batch Error on system for Coverage, DX, Authorizations, and others as required.
  • Reports to all departments all corrections and changes made on client accounts.
  • Assists with the daily Authorization for client services, and accurately enters the data for services per procedures.
  • Attends billing meetings or trainings as required.
  • Checks eligibility on all clients twice a month; 1st and the 15th of each month.
  • Assists with any daily cash receipt from cash payments, credit cards, or checks receipt to be deposited.
  • Enters Residential and Outpatient discharges in the system on a monthly basis.
  • Completes and maintains logs, lists, and other statistical information.
  • Cover the Reception at the main office when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Billing and RCM Manager.

Education and Experience: High School diploma or equivalent required. Experience in Admissions process. Insurance related experience preferred. Experience with computers and data tracking system of clients. Typing skills required.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
