Registered Pharmacy Technician (Filling Specialist) Job at Taylors Pharmacy
The primary role of the a Filling Specialist is to prepare and package orders. You will verify the accuracy of labels, logs, and medications pulled. You will dispense correct quantities of medication along with required patient supplies and safety information. You will communicate to lead technicians and management any resources needed to maximize accuracy and efficiency of department.
Summary of Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately fill and document dispensing of prescription medications.
- Include correct patient supplies, such as applicators, inserts/adapters, and syringes.
- Provide patients with educational inserts, warnings, and other information.
- Understand and effectively utilize information located on formula logs.
- Effectively utilize PrimeRx, Rx30, Tracking, Pink Notes, and Compound Assist software.
- Assist with filling hardcopies and maintaining other required regulatory documents.
- Assist with managing inventory by pulling expiring medications, placing orders, putting orders aware and purchasing.
- Meet assigned objectives, goals, and metrics.
- Effectively communicate any needs or issues with management.

Education & Experience Required:
- High school education or GED.
- Registered Florida Pharmacy Technician in good standing.
- Minimum of 3+ years Pharmacy Technician experience
- PrimeRx, Rx30, Tracking, Pink Notes, and/or Compound Assist experience (preferred).
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Ability to work Monday – Friday with availability from 8am to 5:30pm and Saturdays 9am – 1pm.
- Ability to stand during an 8-hour shift.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
