Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse RN Labor and Delivery / Mother Baby
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team in Glens Falls, NY. In this role, you will provide exceptional, personalized care to mothers and infants during labor and delivery as well as in the postpartum period. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for both mother and child.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and support for mothers and infants during labor and delivery, including monitoring vital signs and fetal heart rate, administering medication and anesthesia, and assisting with delivery.
- Conduct screenings and assessments for both mother and baby and monitor for any complications or changes in condition.
- Educate and support mothers and families in understanding infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatologists, and other healthcare providers as needed to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records and communicate important patient information to appropriate team members.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of New York.
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Nursing.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery and/or Mother Baby care.
- BLS and NRP certifications.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
