To further our mission to ensure a better quality of life for our elderly clients and their families, we are seeking a Per Diem Home Care RN. The service areas for this position are Cobb, Douglas and Fulton Counties.

Job Duties:

This job description outlines the objective, primary responsibilities, and/or requirements and qualifications of the Registered Nurse Position.

Objective: A Registered Nurse is to oversee the care of clients by performing nursing assessments, writing, monitoring, and updating care plans for clients, along with monitoring caregivers.

Reports to: President of Client Services

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

· Complete all documentation for nursing assessments, including observations, pertaining to clients.

· Evaluate clients on a regular basis and/or as necessary to ensure client needs are consistent with the care plan.

· Utilize professional assessment skills to identify physical, mental, and psychosocial needs of clients and be able to develop a care plan to meet these needs in a multi-disciplinary approach.

· Function as a resource and mentor to peers and subordinates to maintain professional nursing standards.

· Act on client’s behalf to assure patient rights.

· Be aware of home safety issues, strive to accomplish all responsibilities in a safe manner, and consistently reinforce good safety attitude and practices displayed by other staff members.

Qualifications

· Able to work as a team member

· Able to maintain confidential information

· Able to communicate effectively with the company staff, the clients, and clients’ families

· Able to handle occasional physical and verbal mistreatment from clients in an appropriate professional manner at all times

· Able to supervise (instruct, assign work, etc.) nursing assistants

· Excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, and possess excellent client interaction skills

· Able to multi-task and work independently

Education and Experience

· Associate/Bachelor of Science in Nursing

· Current RN licensure

· CPR certification

· Must maintain CEU requirements as required by the Board of Nursing

Job Types: Part-time, PRN

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
